This course not only provides a strong foundation for all individuals who aspire to become yoga teachers but also ignites a desire to understand oneself and learn ways to harmonize one’s inner environment to be able to create a wonderful yoga experience in his/her yoga teaching.

It promises to provide the relevant tools and techniques of authentic Yoga practices along with the guidance to help bring forth each Yoga aspirant’s unique style of teaching for a promising Yoga Career.

Using modern as well as traditional teaching methodologies, our experienced pool of teachers imparts primary knowledge of Yoga practices which in turn paves the way for the Yoga Teachers towards acquiring further knowledge and training of the same.

The teachings on the course are rooted in the ancient yoga texts like the Yog Sutra of Maharishi Patanjali, Srimad Bhagavad Gita, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, to name a few. Practical applications of Yoga in terms of lifestyle management, theoretical and practice of the Shat Kriyas, ability to demonstrate and teach yoga postures and breathing techniques make up the practical aspect of the course.

The course also includes the learning and regular practice of Sudarshan Kriya, a powerful breathing technique taught only through the Art of Living and practiced by thousands of people across the world.

This program is offered in a 21 days’ residential course.

CERTIFICATION

After successful completion of the course and examination thereafter,

  • The student would be issued a certificate from Sri Sri School of Yoga for the said hours.
  • Apart from being able to conduct Sri Sri Yoga Classes and workshops, the student would also be awarded a manual for conducting the Art of Living flagship program, that is, the Sri Sri Yoga Level 1 course.
  • Would be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT®)

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • Students are to be respectful towards each other as well as all the sevaks in the ashram premises
  • Non-veg. food, smoking, usage of recreational elements and drinking alcohol are not allowed on School premises during the course
  • The fee, once deposited, is non – refundable and non – transferable.
  • As a graduate from Sri Sri School of Yoga, the student would be certified to teach yoga. However special training and permission from the registered office of the Art of Living of the student’s residential country would be required to teach Art of Living / Sri Sri Yoga flagship programs Viz. Sri Sri Yoga Level 1, Sri Sri Yoga Level 2
  • 200H Yoga Training Course and 300H Yoga Teacher Training Course have different syllabus and Certificate. Please refer the syllabus for more details or contact the admissions team on admissions@srisrischoolofyoga.org
  • All classes are mandatory to attend unless you are ill wherein the same needs to be communicated to the teachers
  • The evaluation procedure involves an assessment for certification.
  • Sri Sri School of Yoga reserves the right to disqualify any students at any time during the course for misconduct, misbehavior or non-adherence of rules of the ashram
  • Eating and drinking (anything other than water) are NOT ALLOWED in the yoga/meditation halls.
  • Use of electronic gadgets (i.e., mobile phones, laptops, tablets) during lectures is STRICTLY PROHIBITED
  • It is expected of all students to clear your practice space and maintain the cleanliness of the yoga/meditation halls
