For decades before the world paused on June 21, The Art of Living and Sri Sri School of Yoga were quietly embedding yoga into communities, schools, prisons, and boardrooms across India and in over 156 countries. When the United Nations, in partnership with The Art of Living, brought this day into global focus, we already had the infrastructure, the teachers, and the conviction to respond at scale.art of living

One unforgettable morning in Visakhapatnam
On the occasion of IDY 2025, Visakhapatnam's beach road became the site of the largest yoga lesson ever conducted spanning 28 km with 326 compartments and over three lakh participants. 103 compartments were led by Art of Living Master Trainers, who guided 1,28,467 participants. Four AOL teachers served as official witnesses for the Guinness Book of World Records.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan led the celebrations.

Andhra Pradesh Led. Every State Followed
With 1,28,467 participants across 100 locations, Andhra Pradesh became the beating heart of IDY 2025. Maharashtra mobilised 1,45,705 across 506 locations. Gujarat brought 1,10,000. Telangana: 58,755. The numbers speak but behind each one is a teacher, a volunteer, and a community that chose yoga.

GGujarat alone mobilised 2,00,000 participants across 200 locations. Maharashtra brought 1,97,347 across 707 locations. West Bengal gathered 49,211. Kerala, 45,211. Our teachers were everywhere in halls of power, in classrooms, and under open skies.
