Our 95H Online Children’s Yoga Teacher Training is Yoga Alliance accredited and provides you with a strong foundation in a broad spectrum of areas to confidently and compassionately teach children and youth aged 4-17 in a fun, safe, deeply rewarding, and beneficial way.

You’ll gain a complete understanding of children and teens from a physical, mental, emotional, and social framework, including child psychology and developmental changes to mind management, self-awareness, and the child-parent dynamic.

You’ll be empowered with unique fun-to-learn teaching methodologies and specialised yoga postures, breathwork, meditation, and relaxation techniques integrated with light yogic wisdom and life skills to help your students blossom to their full potential.

The training is for anyone passionate about helping kids and teens thrive—from parents and caregivers to teachers and community workers—you’ll make a difference.

1. Introduction to Children’s Yoga
  • Benefits of yoga
  • Why yoga is important for children
  • Qualities of a successful children’s yoga teacher

2. Yoga Philosophy, Scripture, Lifestyle, and Ethics
  • History of yoga
  • Societal ethics (yamas) and personal ethics and guidelines (niyamas)
  • The three yogic natures (gunas), according to yogic wisdom
  • Ethics for yoga teachers

3. Teaching Methodology
  • Lesson planning
  • Principles of class management
  • Communication skills for all age groups
  • Behavioral management tools

4. Anatomy and Physiology
  • Child psychology
  • Psycho-physical development of children aged 4–17
  • Brain development: Left and right brain
  • Vagus nerve and the brain-gut axis
  • Introduction to the different systems of the body

5. Techniques, Training, and Practice
  • Yoga postures (asanas)
  • Breathwork (pranayama)
  • Relaxation and meditation
  • Introducing themes, storytelling, and yoga songs
  • Games and activities

6. Group Practicum

Practice teaching activities including open circles, breathwork, postures, storytelling, creating themes,
meditation, relaxation techniques, and much more.

 

7. Specialized Module: Yoga for Schools, Trauma, ADHD, and Autism
  • Designing lesson plans according to different school environments, communities, and needs
  • Best practices for approaching and working with schools, plus communication and relationship-building skills
  • Understanding trauma, trauma-informed yoga, and the five responses (freeze, faint, fear, fight, flight),
    and how they show up on the yoga mat
  • Understanding attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism, and the role of yoga and the yoga teacher within that framework

Leading Yoga Institution

Get certified by international yoga authorities and institutions like Yoga Alliance, Yoga Certification Board from the Ministry of AYUSH (Govt. of India) and Indian Yoga Association

Duration & Schedule

This training is a 100 hours spanned across 6 weeks.

Live session schedule

16 Live sessions across the TTC with Faculty (8 on weekdays and 8 on weekends)

  • Mon, Wed, Fri (On days of sessions): 6:00 am – 8:00 am
  • Sat, Sun (All session may not be till 1:00 pm): 6:00 am to 8:00 am, 9:30 am – 1:00 pm
  • 8 additional live sessions for personalized mentorship
    6:00 am to 8:00 am

Notes

  • Timings are in Indian Standard Time (IST).
  • Please check before applying if you are comfortable with the timings mentioned above.
  • You can watch the recorded sessions later at your convenience.
  • 75% attendance to the live session of the course is mandatory.
  • No other courses are to be taken while doing this training.

Pre-Requisites

  • Age: 18 – 60 years (special permission required for 60+)
  • Should have done at least a 200H of yoga teacher training before applying for the same. (Might have done a diploma/Graduation or Post graduation in Yoga – But in such a case they should have experience of teaching for at least 6 month)
  • AOL Programs: Basic course / Happiness Program of the Art of Living (If the Happiness Program has not yet been completed, it will be arranged for you. Please reach out to the admissions team for coordination.)
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • Pregnant woman are not allowed in the training
