Why Practise with Us?

It is said in the Patanjali Yoga Sutras that there are eight limbs of yoga – Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi. Asanas are only one limb out of the eight, the last being Samadhi – a state of equanimity.

Asanas and pranayamas prepare the body and mind to enter a meditative state, where the mind becomes free from duality and conflict, resting in harmony.

Regular practice of asanas has been known to help with chronic back pain, fluctuating blood pressure, and other health concerns. When postures are well-coordinated with the breath, they enhance the depth and quality of meditation.
