FULL SCHEDULE

Hips Opening with Forouzan

June 1-3

7-8 am CEST

Hip opening asana yoga is designed to help you release tension and stiffness in your hips, increase flexibility, and improve overall mobility. Our hips are a complex joint that can become tight and restricted due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing, as well as emotional and mental stress. Hip opening asanas, or postures, can help you unlock this tension and bring a sense of ease and release to your body and mind. Attending to these particular movements, we will also discover that yoga is skill in action. Come and join us for a rejuvenating and nourishing yoga practice!

Back Strength with Tatiana

June 4-6

7-8 CEST

Explore yoga asanas that help to stretch and strengthen muscles that support the back and spine. They promote good posture, maintaining back strength and flexibility. It’s also one of the more effective tools for helping reduce lower back pain, the most common source of pain and disability among older adults.

Core Strength with Tahir

June 7-9

7-8 am CEST

Core strengthening yoga poses strengthen the abdominals and the muscles that support your lower back and pelvis. These are important asanas to include in your yoga practice, as the core muscles maintain stability and balance throughout our bodies. Core is the power from the centre, that is empowering us to be stable and strong and not succumb to the modulations of the mind.

Surya Samaskar with Barbara

June 10-12

7-8 am CEST

Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation is a set of asanas where one prostrates to the most powerful element in our solar system – the Sun. It provides an opportunity for us to add gratefulness to our practice of asanas. Being grateful to the Sun we do the Sun Salutations, and remembering that there are higher powers that are responsible for life adds sacredness to our practice.

Hamstrings with Gordana

June 13-15

7-8 am CEST

Undertaking regular strengthening exercises for the hamstrings is very important. Hamstrings that are balanced in strength and flexibility keep the spine in proper alignment, relieve lower back pain and help stabilise the hips. Preventing the pain before it occurs – stopping the misery before it arises, is yoga.

Balance with Plakor

June 16-18

7-8 am CEST

Balancing yoga class is about practicing poses that challenge us. A practice between effort and letting go, between softness and stability, theory and practice. It is about remaining centred in opposing situations. These practices help to enhance focus, improve steadiness in ankle joints and strengthen the core. They invite us into the present moment with careful observation and concentration, and increase our body awareness and coordination.

Arms & Shoulders with Kesh

June 19-21

7-8 am CEST

Yoga offers a total mind-body workout. It is an incredible way to improve your upper body strength, tone and sculpt the arms, and build bone density with the weight of your own body. Moreover, with our arms, we reach out to the world with an attitude of selfless service – seva.
